I have taken a look at light and motion and came up with four examples of freeze and blurred motion. It’s fascinating how the shutter speed plays such a crucial role in the creativity of capturing these creative motions. Through this, we are able to freeze motion or created a slow blurred effect.
Frozen motion
ISO- 400 34mm F/13 1/1000 with a tripod, natural light. 5/6/2019
I had never taken an image like this before, I have never frozen water either it was a fun learning experience that took many attempts. This image was taken with a tripod, which I had never used before. The natural light through the window makes this image one of my favourites.
ISO 400 30mm F/10 1/1000 taken with tripod daylight. 5/6/2019
This image was taken in daylight. I wanted to capture a person doing some kind of movement and capture them in the moment. The clouds made a good background and the shadow at the bottom looks really good.
Blurred Motion
ISO 100, 33mm f/11 1/6 5/7/2019
This is one of my example of blurred motion. I wanted to capture lots of people moving towards the same direction and got permission to take a picture inside this building at the beginning of a devotional as people make their way to it.
ISO 400 21mm f/3.5 1/10 taken with tripod indoors. 5/7/2019
This is an image of a spinning bouncy ball. it was taken with a tripod. As we can see only the spinning ball is blurred because it’s moving, the rest of the image is still.
